Note: I don't mind helping people with research about any of the subjects covered by my site, but I'd like to lay down a few rules, because it's getting out of hand.

1. Don't ask me to price things. I repeat, DON'T ASK ME TO PRICE THINGS. I'm not an appraiser. Truth is, whatever you have, you should probably just take your chances on eBay.

2. Kids, don't ask me to write your essay for you. If you need a primary source (i.e., an interview), give me at least a week to respond.

3. If you want me to try to identify a piece of fraternal regalia, save us both a step by posting the picture somewhere and sending me the link. DO NOT ATTACH IT TO THE E-MAIL. I automatically delete e-mails with attachments from people I don't know because I don't need viruses. Also, I won't go straight to the link unless you give me a little background first. Again, I don't need viruses.
