Ray Gun — X1 PROTOTYPE

My son asked me to build him a ray gun. amazing what you can throw together in five minutes with some scrap cardboard and duct tape. Of course now I want to take it back and IMPROVE it.

All Aboot Canadian English, Eh?

A friend at work just passed this along to me. She worked as a designer in Toronto for a few years, and ended up toting it back to the states, where it remained wrapped in plastic until she thought, “I know! I’ll give it to the word nerd at work!” (She didn’t really say that.) […]

Damn

It’s amazing how chickenshit I’ve become about writing. I am gripped with a feeling of bland doom.

Death Is COOL

O, Muse, Sing Within Me!

Morning pages are a great idea, and I try to fill at least a page in my notebook every day (usually with digressions on art, rants, and segments of nonexistent novels). At the same time, as I write them, I imagine a suburban housewife in a flowery maxi-dress, sipping chamomile tea on the back porch, […]

Dreams

I woke up this morning from a terribly realistic nightmare about losing my job. I had to go through a grueling exit interview that got rather nasty, and several perfect opportunities for a dramatic exit were ruined by circumstances. I guess I should have been tipped off that it was all a dream, however, since […]
